Alchemy

Alchemy is a science. As all sciences there are always rules about what you can and cant do, to prevent things from happening. In the anime series Full Metal Alchemist, Alchemy is frequently used throughout the world. Edward and Alphonses father was a wel recognized Alchemist, and Edward and Alphonse are Major's in the art of Alchemy. Both Edward and Alphonse practised the science of Alchemy since they were young.

They performed Human Alchemy which was forbidden, and resulted in Edward resulting in having a metal right arm and left leg, and his brother Alphonse to have an entire body of metal. This is a constant reminder to them of what they did.
