The series of Naruto is about Ninjas, and along with everyone being ninjas they must know certain forms of martial arts. During the series you can observe that there are quite a few different styles of attacking opponents with jutsus, no matter what is may be if its hand seals or anything such as these. There are a few different styles of jutsus each belonging to their rightful form and place. This should give you a better chance to find out about which jutsus are for which techniques:
Ninjutsu: Ninjutsu techniques are the most used of all of the jutsus. Ninjutsu is based around the use of hand seals and chakra usage to affect reality to perform these jutsus (techniques). You must make the appropriate hand seals in order to release you chosen jutsu. Ninjutsu being the most used of all of the jutsu attack styles is very effective. To perform these ninjutsu techniques the ninja must have full concentration on commencing the hand seals and to not be interrupted because the jutsu will fail to work. It takes only a short few seconds to execute a ninjutsu technique. An example of a ninjutsu technique although there are many others is Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone).
Genjutsu: Genjutsu techniques are mostly illusionary techniques. These techniques require the use of chakra ad usually the use of hand seals, which makes the opponent hallucinate and make them think that they see visions that are not really there, which is also a short definition of an illusion if you didn't notice. Genjutsu is a very good technique to use when you are losing a battle and want to escape from the battle or for use during a battle to confuse your opponent. This is a great chance for the user of the Genjutsu technique to attack the opponent without them being aware of where or what you are doing. An example of a genjutsu technique is Naruto's Sexy no Jutsu.
Taijutsu: Taijutsu is based on hand-to-hand combat. Taijutsu has an advantage over that of Ninjutsu and Genjutsu which is that Taijutsu doesn't need the use of hand seals or the molding of chakra to perform the techniques. Although this is an advantage it is not a very big one as a taijutsu user would usually be defeated by that of a Genjutsu or Ninjutsu user. This type of fighting is much more complex and a lot faster. Taijutsu however requires a lot of training to reach the best results for Taijutsu. There is only one person who dedicates themselves to use Taijutsu to its full extent and that is Rock Lee, who specializes in the use of Taijutsu but is unable to perform Genjutsu or Ninjutsu techniques. An example of Taijutsu is 64 Points hand.
Kinjutsu: Kinjutsu techniques are are banned techniques and outlawed by the Kages. These banned techniques have been banned by the hokages because of the enormous amount of power which they can unleash when mastered. These Kinjutsu techniques are extremely strong and can cause huge damage and problems to anyone who opposes these techniques, this of course is very bad news if Kinjutsu techniques were mastered by those who would want to destroy villages. These techniques usually require the making of a sacrifice in order to execute these banned techniques. An example of a Kinjutsu technique is Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone).
Doujutsu: Doujutsu techniques are performed by the use of the eyes. These techniques read genjutsu, ninjutsu and taijutsu techniques and defeats them. People who perform these doujutsu techniques are usually intelligent ninjas, which of course will give them many advantages when in battle with the use of these strategies and advantages from these techniques. There is not much known on doujutsu as the only known doujutsus are the Sharingan and the Byakugan which we have seen from the series. An example of a doujutsu technique is the Sharingan. |
