Shaman King - Introduction

Introduction

The world of Shaman King is based around a character called Yoh, who is a shaman. Shaman is a dead religion which lives in the world of the unknown. One day while taking a short cut to school, a Junior High-School student called Manta discovers Yoh Asakura who of course is a shaman and his friends who are wondering spirits. Yoh is a Japanese Shaman from the mountains of Japan who has come to Tokyo to train to become the Shaman King. The shaman king is the legendary saviour, which is what he wants to become since he was young. Yoh who is accompanied by his ghost partner Amidamaru who in an ancient Japanese legend was known as 'The Fiend' because he killed thousands of men in one violent attack. There are also others who want to accomplish the same objective as Yoh, so he must battle them and send them back to their home land and save his friends to become the Shaman King!
